Artist Talk and Gallery Installation Shots

An artist talk with Bill Wolff and myself will take place at the Surfaces Depths closing reception this Saturday, March 15th at Spool Mfg. Closing reception hours are 7-10 pm with artist talk and conversation at 8 pm.

I will discuss ideas and development of the painting series At and Just Below currently on view in the gallery.

A Return to the Pouch Cove Foundation Residency

Erin Carney returns to Pouch Cove, Newfoundland, Canada in September to continue work on a series of oil paintings entitled At and Just Below. This series began last year while working on the rocks perched above the Northern Atlantic at this international invitational residency program.

Selected paintings from the At and Just Below series will be exhibited in a solo show at the DePree Art Center in Holland, Michigan from October 19th to November 16, 2007. The complete series will be exhibited early next year in a two person show at Spool Mfg in Johnson City, New York from January 26 to March 15, 2008.
